even a reported tornado down near bakersfield, california. the other thing, of course, we're following is all of the severe reports right here in the bay area. lightning early this morning in san francisco and oakland. multiple strike there's. even hail that covered parts of 101. i drove through that right through the san francisco airport. and there was a multiple car accident. dangerous. and winds atop 40 miles per hour with at least 900 outages at its peak this morning. also, some very rare snow down to about 2500 feet at mt. hamilton. that's at the elevation of 4,360 feet. let's show you some of these pictures. you can see not only the snow, but the roads very icy as it provided a light dusting. officially only 1 inch reported. but in some areas slightly higher accumulations. none the less, it looks really beautiful up there. and a signal that we are finally getting the weather pattern to change. you can see a few hours of showers developing off to the south. we are going to be tracking that, along with the very cold temperatures gripping

a few high clouds approaching the coast of california towards eureka and crescent city. temperatures mainly in the 60s and cooler over the next several days. in the extended big pattern change. next storm approaches and cloud cover on the increase tuesday and when the winds increase out of south, that means the storm is coming in and that storm is set to move in wednesday morning, decreasing in coverage by wednesday afternoon. but then another system could swing into the region on friday. that would be stronger. here is our forecast model. we are dry tomorrow sunday and basically the same deal into monday. we're going to thicken up the cloud cover on tuesday and look at what happens first thing wednesday morning, we do increase the rates and strongusty winds out the south. and then decreasing coverage in the activity by 4:00 wednesday, but chance of showers on thursday an possibly another system, stronger, that will increase the rainfall rates and surf later in the week by friday. tomorrow, temperatures in the mid to upper 60s. these numbers about the same as today. coul

the coldest weather we have seen in central and northern california since april. all because of that pesky upper level area of low pressure. so we're keeping the cold but we're losing the rainfall. slight chance of a shower this evening and overnight tonight but that's it. you can see showers racing from the northwest to the southeast. perhaps clipping you close to half moon bay down toward capitola, santa cruz, you may see a few showers. right now the peninsula and much the bay area is dry. where is that upper low? it's moving to the east and away which is good if you don't want the rainfall. that means that the cold air is getting dragged down from the north as low pressure takes off on the west and that gives us cold air coming down from the arctic. so it's going to be chilly over the weekend even as the rain moves out: sunday veterans day and next week, high pressure will build in to our south. we are on the edge of things. that means we will stay dry, but we also will be chilly. we're not going to warm up. i don't think we're going to see 70 degrees for at le
